Great Washington Road Trip - Part 4 Wenatchee to Port Townsend

The last part of our Great Washington Road Trip took us from Lake Wenatchee to Port Townsend, WA via the Edmonds-Kingston ferry.

This was the view around one bend as we went over Steven's Pass. I took this holding the camera out the window as we drove.

We timed it so that we only had a very short wait at the Edmond's end of the ferry.

Waiting for the ferry.

It was really windy once we got underway. Kendall was allowed out on the car deck.

She made a new friend on the ferry.

This was Wooden Boat Festival weekend in Port Townsend. The festival, itself, does not allow dogs. We walked around town on Thursday as the wooden boats arrived and preparations were made for the festival. This is a picture of one of the huge sailboats we saw.

Pygmy Boats specializes in wooden kayaks that you can buy as kits to build yourself.

This was taken on the steps of the Wooden Boat Foundation.
We stopped at the Port Townsend Brewery. They had a beautiful outside area that was fenced in. We didn't discover until AFTER we bought our drinks that no dogs were allowed in the beer garden. So much for a dog friendly town.
