Home Sweet Home

I've been out on the road again for work, but now I'm home for a few months.

Preppy Pink and Green Pup tagged her blogging friends in the Fun With Photo Game. The rules are as follows:

1. Open your 1st photo folder
2. Scroll to the 10th picture
3. Post the photo (no cheating) and the story behind it
4. Tag 5 or more people

Here's what I found in my photo folder.

This photo was taken at the annual Lemay Open House in Tacoma, WA. I'm not a car person but this place is amazing. Harold Lemay was a collector of cars and lots of other stuff. There are numerous out buildings on his property and the Marymount Academy filled with his collection. He collected everything from Duesenbergs to American muscle cars to utility trucks and fire trucks. In addition to cars and trucks, he also collected things like toys, gas station parts, and memorabilia. The picture is a picture of a toy car and teardrop trailer. We happened to be at this Open House because we were looking to purchase a teardrop trailer, and there was a group of them camped out at the Marymount Academy.

Spring has Sprung

I returned from Philadelphia to find the trees and bushes in bloom in February. These pictures were taken on Feb. 24th. It's been a mild and fairly dry winter here in the Pacific NW.

Since then the flowers have bloomed, and things are greening up. Even the moss on the front walk and the roof is growing like crazy. Great weather can't be far behind. I love Daylight Savings time. It seems like I get so much more done in the evenings. It's ok that it's dark in the morning for awhile. I go to work early, and this only means more time to spend with the pup in the park in the evenings.

Signage

I've been out and about around the country these past few weeks (the reason for the lack of posts), and I ran across this sign in the Houston airport. I had to snap a picture.

Spring has sprung in the Pacific Northwest, and I promise lots of pictures in the next couple of day.s
