Great Washington Road Trip - Part 1

In case you've been wondering where Kendall's been, she's been out on the Great Washington State Road Trip of 2009. We started with Labor Day weekend in Randle, WA. We camped at Cowlitz Falls Park, a Cowlitz County PUD park. The weather in the Pacific Northwest can be pretty hit or miss. This year it was a miss. It rained and rained and rained for four days. Friday and Saturday we got a little clearing in the late afternoon, but the rest of the time it poured.

We went there so that we could go to the swap meet in Packwood, WA. The entire town becomes one giant swap meet end to end. It's a lot of fun when it's not raining. We did get a glimpse of a rainbow at one point. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of Kendall hanging out in the rain. She does not like to get wet and dirty.

Here's the one rainbow we saw all weekend.

The camp site was very woodsy. The forest there was beautiful. Luckily, they had great hot showers.
