Keys Dogs - Part 2

After the success of finding dog friendly places during the first couple of days in the Florida Keys, I was feeling pretty good about my decision to pursue pictures of dogs we met in the Keys. However, as the week went on, we found we were leaving the condo complex less and less, which meant fewer dog pictures. Toward the end of the week we did make it down to one of our favorite places, The Lorelei, in Islamorada. There were lots of local Keys dogs hanging out with their owners.

There were dogs in boats.

I had to throw that last picture in there, because that's what the Florida Keys are all about - sunsets.

Great Washington Road Trip-Part 3-Leavenworth

As part of our Washington State Road trip, we stopped in Leavenworth, WA. It's an old timber town that reinvented itself as a Bavarian Village in the mountains when timber dried up. It's a cute town. There are a number of dog-friendly restaurants and businesses. The weather was beautiful after four days of rain on this trip. Here's Kendall in the town square.

A shot down the main street.

We had lunch at Munchen Haus, a little beer garden tucked in among the shops. It's pet and children friendly. Their brats are delicious and they must have 15 different types of mustards from which to choose.

I don't usually publish pictures of myself on Kendall's blog, but this one was too cute to pass by (Kendall, not me).

Here are some random pictures taken around town.

I also wanted to mention that there's a great pet store in downtown Leavenworth. It's called A Paw Above. They have lots of quality dog treats and food as well as everything else you need for your pet. It's worth a visit.

From here we traveled to Port Townsend, WA via the Edmonds-Kingston ferry. I'll post more pictures in the next couple of posts.

Wine Tasting at Sokol Blosser Winery

Last Sunday was a beautiful day in Oregon. We drove down to McMinnville to drop off things at our favorite resale shop, New to You, and decided to take Kendall along. A little bit of research told us that Sokol Blosser was dog friendly, and they were right on the way. The tasting room was crowded, but there weren't many people sitting out in their picnic area. I picked up a bottle of Meditrina and we sat outside.

I found the information on the internet regarding dog-friendly wineries in Oregon to be a bit spotty. I'm thinking of putting together a nice long (hopefully) list of wineries to visit with your favorite pup. Does anyone know of any others that welcome dogs on their grounds?
