John Neal Memorial Park camping

Last weekend we packed up the trailer and headed out for a weekend of camping along the North Santiam River. We went to John Neal Memorial Park, a Linn County Park. Our camp site was right along the water. The view was beautiful.

The camping chairs don't leave a lot of room for lap time, so Kendall now has her own camping chair. She's the only one who sits in it, so it doesn't matter if it gets dusty or dirty.

Here she is hanging out by the river. The weather was great. It rained on Friday before we arrived, but cleared up by the time we got there Friday night.

Kendall always has to get her daily lap time in.

On Saturday a few rafters and boaters went by on the river. It was fairly cool, and I can only imagine how cold the water was.

This is a bridge in Mill City.

If you like to camp and don't have a big rig, John Neal Memorial Park is a nice option. Some of the sites have water hookups but no power. The rest are tent sites. They also have great showers.

In addition to the river, there are a number of beaver ponds along one side of the park. We didn't see any beavers, but we did see their handiwork.
